Welding Robots and AI Take Center Stage at Trichy’s Delmin Expo
At Trichy’s Delmin Expo 2025, welding robots and the latest AI-driven manufacturing technologies are headlining a transformative showcase for industry professionals, students, and local entrepreneurs. Hosted by the Trichy District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (TIDITSSIA) at the Kalaiarangam hall, the three-day event is designed to help MSMEs and manufacturers throughout the Cauvery delta region adapt to the changing landscape of automation and workforce shortages.
Visitors to the expo are greeted by a range of interactive displays demonstrating how welding robots—capable of precise, repeatable welds and rapid production speeds—can revolutionize fabrication processes for everything from heavy equipment to consumer products. AI integration is a recurring theme, with exhibitors showing off smart robot arms programmed to detect weld seams, optimize tool paths, and even learn from human expertise. The event’s “Invest in Nagapattinam” section promoted new industrial parks, port proposals, and local opportunities, supporting regional growth and technology adoption.
Exhibitors and organizers say the goal is to showcase emerging solutions, connect MSMEs with accessible automation, and encourage tech-driven business diversification. Annual plans to expand the exhibition aim to keep local industry aligned with national efforts in “Make in India” and global smart manufacturing trends.
