Bharat Cares Launches STEM on Wheels in Noida
Bharat Cares has launched its “STEM on Wheels” initiative in Noida, targeting government primary schools to make STEM education more accessible, practical, and inspiring for young learners. Launched in partnership with SHARP Business India and flagged off in the presence of local district authorities, the project is currently rolling out in ten government primary schools across Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The innovative approach uses specially equipped vans—mobile STEM labs—that bring science experiments, tinkering models, robotics kits, DIY tools, and digital resources directly to schoolchildren who rarely have access to such facilities.
This program aims to revolutionize how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are taught by providing hands-on education instead of textbook-based learning alone. Each STEM on Wheels van is staffed by trained mentors who guide students through interactive experiments, problem-solving challenges, and technology demonstrations. The lessons are tailored to foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, all while making complex concepts tangible and fun for kids.
Not only does the initiative strive to boost foundational skills and science literacy, but it also focuses on nurturing a broader enthusiasm for STEM careers among students in underprivileged areas. By exposing children early to robotics, coding, and engineering activities, the project aspires to ignite aspirations for future innovation and bridge the digital divide in educational resources. The program is also aligned with India’s National Education Policy, which places an ever-greater emphasis on early STEM engagement and experiential learning.
BharatCares is recognized as one of India’s leading social impact organizations, and this project stands as a blueprint for scalable, inclusive innovations in grassroots education. By mobilizing technology, partnerships, and creativity, “STEM on Wheels” is helping build a new generation of problem-solvers and innovators in Noida and beyond.
