CBSE Rolls Out New Skill Modules for 2025
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a bold step towards reshaping the future of education by introducing 33 new skill modules as part of its 2025 curriculum reforms. Targeted at students of Classes 6, 7, and 8, the modules cover crucial 21st– century skills, including Artificial Intelligence, Coding, Data Science, Satellite Technology, Augmented Reality, and Financial Literacy. Building Future-Ready Classrooms
These modules are not exam–oriented but are instead activity–based, focusing on developing creativity, logical reasoning, and critical thinking in students. Schools are
encouraged to offer them as co–scholastic subjects, allowing flexibility while building curiosity among students. Notably, the AI and Coding modules are designed in collaboration with industry experts and tech partners, ensuring that students get a glimpse of real–world applications

Wider Vision for Indian Education
CBSE’s vision is clear: make Indian students globally competitive by embedding future skills at an early stage. These modules are expected to play a pivotal role in reducing the skill gap and preparing the next generation for careers in robotics, computer science, space tech, and entrepreneurship. The initiative is also seen as a push toward digital inclusion, ensuring that students across urban and rural areas have equal access to futuristic education
