Prime Minister to Hold ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ Today Ahead of Board Exams
Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with students, parents, and teachers today as part of the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, an annual nationwide programme aimed at addressing exam-related stress and preparation strategies ahead of the board examination season. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am on Friday and is expected to reach more than 45 million participants across India, according to government officials.
Pariksha Pe Charcha has emerged as a significant national platform that enables direct communication between the Prime Minister and the student community. The initiative focuses on helping students deal with examination pressure, time management, motivation, and mental well-being. It also encourages parents and teachers to play a supportive role in creating a positive and stress-free learning environment.
Now in its ninth edition, the programme is conducted every year before the commencement of board examinations. Students from schools across the country participate by submitting their questions through online platforms and by registering at the STEM school level. Selected questions are addressed by the Prime Minister during the live interactive session, which is broadcast across multiple digital and television platforms to ensure maximum outreach.
Officials stated that this year’s edition has seen record participation, reflecting the programme’s growing relevance among students and educators. The Prime Minister is expected to share practical tips, personal experiences, and motivational insights to help students approach exams with confidence rather than fear. Topics such as exam anxiety, effective revision techniques, balancing studies with hobbies, and maintaining mental health are likely to be discussed during the interaction.
Over the years, Pariksha Pe Charcha has played a crucial role in shifting the national discourse around examinations from stress and pressure to learning and self-improvement. The programme emphasises that exams are an important part of academic life but should not define a student’s self-worth or future success.
Parents and teachers also actively participate in the session, gaining valuable guidance on how to encourage students without imposing unrealistic expectations. The initiative aligns with the broader vision of promoting holistic education and student well-being across the country.
As board examinations draw closer, today’s session is expected to provide timely encouragement and reassurance to millions of students, reinforcing the message that confidence, preparation, and a positive mindset are key to success.
