Thailand Unveils AI-Powered THAI Academy for Future-Ready Learning
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Thailand’s Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and Microsoft have launched the THAI Academy – AI in Education initiative. This ambitious project is aimed at overhauling Thailand’s educational system by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure equitable access to future–ready skills. With goals set under the national AI strategy, the initiative targets AI literacy for over 10 million citizens and the development of 30,000 AI specialists by 2030.

AI-Integrated Curriculum Across Schools and Universities
The initiative follows the government’s “3+1 Languages” approach—Thai, Chinese, English, and Digital literacy—and promotes AI in both K–12 and higher education. Over
600,000 high school students are being engaged in the pilot phase. AI–powered platforms like chatbots and smart agents will support educators with custom lesson planning and
standardized delivery. Simultaneously, MHESI and Microsoft are offering free AI courses via the GETS platform, including certifications and micro–credentials tailored for AI careers such as prompt engineers and data scientists
