Major Boost to STEM in Odisha
Odisha has launched an ambitious 5–year STEM program, impacting over 840,000 students
across government schools. In collaboration with Quest Alliance, the Department of
School and Mass Education is driving this initiative to enhance STEM literacy and 21st–
century skills.
Focus on Future-Ready Skills
The program is designed to help students gain future–ready skills such as coding, robotics,
problem–solving, and logical thinking. The curriculum is aligned with global STEM
standards and promotes experiential learning through hands–on activities.
Empowering Rural Education
This initiative also emphasises inclusivity, targeting rural and underserved communities.
By offering access to digital tools and teacher training, the program aims to bridge the
urban–rural learning gap and foster innovation from a young age.
