Empowering Girls Through STEM Education
The “Super-100” programme launched by the Thiruvananthapuram district collector is a transformative initiative focused on educating underprivileged girls from tribal and coastal backgrounds. The goal is to help these students crack competitive exams in STEM fields by offering free residential coaching, mentorship, and life skills training. With the support of renowned coaching centres like Xylem and Brilliant, this programme has already enabled 44 students to secure spots in top institutions, truly changing the trajectory of their lives.
Holistic Support for Aspirants
What sets this programme apart is its comprehensive approach. Along with academic training, students receive counseling, motivation sessions, and even exposure visits. This ensures they not only prepare for exams but also build the confidence and mindset required for real-world challenges in STEM careers.
Scaling the Impact
Currently, 83 students are being trained, and with entrance exams ongoing, the next cohort will soon be selected. The Super-100 model offers a blueprint for other regions looking to create meaningful impact through STEM education.
