CBSE Class 12 Result 2025: Pass Percentage Increases to 88.39%
The CBSE Class 12 results for 2025 have been declared, showing a marginal rise in the pass percentage to 88.39%. Girls continue to outperform boys, while transgender candidates recorded a remarkable 100% pass rate this year.
CBSE Class 12 Result 2025: Pass Percentage at 88.39%
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 12 exam results for 2025, showing a marginal increase in the pass percentage. This year, 88.39% of candidates cleared the exams, up slightly from 87.98% in 2024. Among the successful candidates, 91.64% of girls passed, outpacing the boys, of whom 85.70% passed. Transgender candidates saw an impressive 100% pass rate, a remarkable jump from last year’s 50%.



Top Performers and Special Achievements
A total of 1,11,544 students scored above 90%, and 24,867 candidates scored above 95% this year. These numbers indicate a slight decrease compared to last year’s performance, where 1.16 lakh students scored above 90%, and 24,068 students scored above 95%. 290 children with special needs scored above 90%, and 55 of them achieved more than 95%, highlighting the increased opportunities for inclusive education.
Regional and Institutional Performance Insights
The Vijaywada region emerged as the top performer with a pass percentage of 99.60%, followed closely by Trivandrum at 99.32%. On the other hand, Prayagraj reported the lowest pass percentage at 79.53%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) maintained their excellence, with a 99.9% pass rate, while private schools recorded a lower pass percentage of 87.94%. The number of students needing to appear for compartment exams increased slightly, with 1.29 lakh students placed in this category compared to 1.22 lakh last year.
