Any government or private school running classes from 6th to 12th with a valid U-DISE code is eligible to apply for setting up an ATL.
An ATL lab enhances student learning through practical, project-based activities in robotics, electronics, and coding. It nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills essential for the future.
Schools must submit their ATL application online through the ATL-Application Portal, available on the AIM website during the application period.
UDISE code stands for Unified District Information System for Education. You can easily find any school’s UDISE code through the government website www.schoolreportcards.in.
Steps to get your school’s UDISE number:
Open www.schoolreportcards.in in your browser.
Click on the LOCATE SCHOOL tab near the Home menu.
Fill in the form fields (Academic Year, State, District, Block, Cluster, Village, etc.). Try to provide as many details as possible.
Click the Search button. The site may take some time to load results depending on your internet speed and entered data.
A list of schools will appear, from which you can find your school’s UDISE code
Schools that registered in earlier phases are not eligible to re-register or submit new applications
Any school with at least 1,500 sq.ft. (1,000 sq.ft. in hilly/UT/island areas), basic facilities (computer lab with internet, library, playground), and regular staff/student attendance is eligible to apply. For full details, refer to the ATL application guidelines on the AIM website.
NITI Aayog provides Rs. 20 lakh grant-in-aid for ATL setup. Schools receive Rs. 12 lakh in the first year, while the remaining Rs. 8 lakh is given in equal instalments over the next 4 years
