IIT Gandhinagar, CBSE resume 3030 Eklavya online teachers’ education programme
IIT Gandhinagar and CBSE have officially resumed the renowned 3030 Eklavya online teachers’ education programme, igniting fresh energy in India’s STEM teaching landscape. This weekly initiative, now in its newest season beginning August 2025, is streamed to educators every Sunday and promises to transform Math and Science classrooms nationwide with its blend of creativity, critical thinking, and practical engagement.
The heart of 3030 Eklavya lies in making Science and Mathematics not just clear, but exciting. Each episode brings hands-on activities—think computational thinking with weighing balances, enzyme investigations using household materials, or chemistry experiments drawn straight from kitchens and gardens. These learning experiences use objects like paper, dominoes, cards, and pulleys to connect digital technologies with the real world.
This season, the programme has already featured episodes on computational thinking and enzyme experimentation, introducing teachers to “unplugged” coding and natural sciences with everyday objects. Upcoming sessions will dive into topics like acids, bases, and colours, mathematical puzzles from Indian history, and 3D geometry—each packed with DIY tasks and playful challenges designed to inspire both educators and their students.
3030 Eklavya’s reach is remarkable: more than 2 crore views online and 65,000 registrations in Season 3, with each session offering 3 hours toward the coveted 30-hour CPD certification. Teachers finish the course with not only enhanced skills, but also tangible recognition through participation and competency certificates. These credentials echo NEP 2020’s call for creative, concept-driven learning in India’s schools.
